About 1 in 6 (2.5 million) people in the Netherlands are low-literate and thus have difficulty reading and writing. In addition, 1 in 4 people have limited health literacy, and thus have difficulty finding, understanding and applying information about health and care.
For this very reason, clear and simple communication materials are essential to reach everyone. Language level B1 stands for simple Dutch. In our videos, we always check the script at B1 level. That way we can reach everyone, including people who are less able to read.
Our videos can be seen all over the world. We have already translated them into more than 50 different languages. Within the Netherlands, translations into English, Turkish or modern Arabic are popular. Of course we are also happy to produce script translations for you, a professional voice-over with timed subtitles and translated visual adaptations (e.g. labels).
